Nick Burgess trained at McGill University in Montréal, Quebec, and the Royal College of Music in England. With nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, his diverse musical expertise has led him to perform across Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
As a music director, Nick has worked on over 75 productions, with credits including Titanique (France Première - Théâtre Lido de Paris); Titanique (Canadian Première - Segal Centre/Mirvish Productions), Mamma Mia! (Thousand Islands Playhouse); April Fools, The Times They Are A-Changin’, Mythic, Indecent, It Shoulda Been You, The Producers, Soul Doctor, Guys and Dolls, and The Pirates Of Penzance (Segal Centre); Into the Woods, Something Rotten!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Grease (Côte-Saint-Luc Dramatic Society); The Last Five Years (Pumpkin Theatre Montreal); Sweet Charity (Centaur/Théâtre Comédie de Montréal).

A highly accomplished pianist, singer, arranger, composer, and teacher, Nick recently composed the score for the Segal Centre’s production of Prayer for the French Republic. He has been a dedicated music educator for two decades, and his popular Big Broadway Singalong events, featuring a vast repertoire spanning over 180 musicals, engage audiences in an interactive celebration of show tunes.
Nick also serves as the music director, pianist, band leader, and arranger for acclaimed Quebec singer Geneviève Leclerc (The Voice Québec, Fantine in Les Misérables U.S. National Tour and Toronto), having collaborated on three of her albums and five tours.
