RESUME

Tyler Pearse is a Toronto-based artist and choreographer with an extensive career as a vocalist and performer: Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (Crows Theatre), Rock of Ages (Elgin Theatre), Ginny & Georgia (Netflix), etc. Tyler uses movement as an expressive, healing, creative practice to navigate the limitations of our bodies and the world in which they exist. He graduated from Sheridan College's Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance Program and is an occasional guest artist at his alma mater, Etobicoke School of the Arts. Tyler was one of the 22/23 RBC Apprentices with Musical Stage Co. as a Movement Director/Choreographer. His focus is to create innovative and impactful work from the guts. With collaboration at the core of his artistry, Tyler has developed a fascination with dance on film and has created several self-produced passion projects for social media. Over the last couple of years, Tyler has attended intensives with Peggy Baker Dance Projects (Creation Lab), Toronto Dance Theatre and assisted Jeff Dimitriou in Theatre Making Movement’s ‘Watch Me Work’. More recently, Tyler has had the pleasure of choreographing RETOLD (Musical Stage Co.), Cabaret (Ovation Productions), Guildwood (Next Stage Festival), assisting Ray Hogg with Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Crows Theatre) and Sierra Holder with Ride the Cyclone (Tweed & Co.).
